Just heard last night that Red Burqa has been selected in the competition section of

Creteil Women’s FIlm Festival in Paris. . It will be screened on the April 4th and April 7th. There is more info on the website.

I’m artist in residence with the MELA with the New Work scheme. Over the next 12 months I will be blogging about my residency, creating a virtual scrap book of the process at . Artist in Resident blogging the process

By the end of the 12 month I aim to have created a new film and sound instillation piece.

It’s been a busy summer of music and festivals. Our band GOL was commissioned by the MELA organisation to create a new piece called Mixed Up, with music and film for the festival in Edinburgh in August.here is the link to watch a 3 minute clip of the piece on BBC Persian

we start performing at around 7 minutes into the program.

Now we are just setting up the studio to begin the process of recording more tracks and organising a tour of the band.

GOL  ( Iranian UK jazz electronica pop) will be performing at the BIG TENT festival in Fife

on Sunday the 26th July 8pm. They will play an hour long set of new music from their EP.

Red Burqa will be screening on 1 st of April 2009 as part of the London International Documentary Film Festival.

Trouble Sleeping picked up the Best Fiction Feature at the 2008 Rockport Film Festival in Rockport,
Texas.
