Background
Roxana trained as an actor at The Ecole de Theatre de Jacques Lecoq in Paris.
She then went on to co-found and perform and tour extensively over six years with the award winning company Theatrum Botanicum, touring shows ( funded by the British Council) to Malawi, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Kenya and Uganda, Bosnia Herzegovina and Russia. Three of their shows were awarded Scotsman Fringe Firsts and a Herald Archangel at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
In 1999 she left the company to pursue a freelance career as an actor, writer and director. She has worked extensively in the UK theatre scene both as an actor,writer and director, recent collaborations include co-directing/writing two large scale outdoor aerial shows for Boilerhouse Theatre company ( The Bridge, Sister Sister) performing with companies such as 30Birdsproductions London, TheatreRites ( at National Theatre Studio London) and performing several Radio 4 Afternoon plays and stories ( most recently Baghdad Burning and The Interview). Recently she was dramaturg for the well received Lung Ha’s production of ‘Harlequino’s Revenge.’

In 2000 she began collaborating with the composer Dee Isaacs and parisian based designer/puppeteer Iulian Fortuna to create large scale, promenade theatre pieces in the Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh. Together they started Botanic Productions and have created ( with funding from Scottish Arts Council and Edinburgh Council) over 6 large scale promenade theatre music shows in the Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh.
